Kaylor AgriServices Announces New High-Oleic Soybean Roasting Facility In Dell Rapids
New facility will expand regional agricultural processing capacity and strengthen opportunities for soybean growers and dairy producers.

DELL RAPIDS, S.D. — Kaylor AgriServices is excited to announce plans to construct a new, state-of-the-art soybean roasting facility in Dell Rapids, South Dakota, expanding the company’s production capacity and creating new opportunities for agricultural producers throughout the region.
The new Dell Rapids facility to be constructed on a 6+ acre site in the Fiegen Industrial Park will specialize in producing Meal Max, Kaylor AgriServices’ premium high-bypass roasted soybean meal designed to maximize livestock nutrition and performance. Construction is anticipated to be completed in September 2027.
Once operational, the facility will significantly increase Kaylor AgriServices’ production capacity and position the company to better serve the growing needs of regional dairy producers. The expansion will also create additional market opportunities for soybean farmers by bringing value-added processing closer to producers and end users.
“We are excited about the opportunity to expand into Dell Rapids and continue investing in the future of agriculture in this region,” said Lance Thury, CEO of Kaylor AgriServices. “This facility will allow us to serve more producers, create additional opportunities for soybean growers, and deliver a high-quality feed product directly to dairies throughout the region. We appreciate the support and partnership we have received from Dell Rapids and the Sioux Metro Growth Alliance throughout this process.”
The Dell Rapids facility will utilize advanced roasting technology designed to provide consistent heat application, unlocking the nutritional value of soybeans while preserving vital proteins. The result is a high-quality feed ingredient designed to improve livestock performance while adding value to locally and regionally grown soybeans.
The Dell Rapids Economic Development Corporation (DREDC) and Sioux Metro Growth Alliance (SMGA) worked alongside Kaylor AgriServices during the site-selection and planning process, helping the company evaluate Dell Rapids as a location for its future growth and connecting the project with local and regional resources.
“Kaylor AgriServices is exactly the type of value-added agricultural investment we are excited to welcome to Dell Rapids,” said Matthew Larson, Community Development Director for Dell Rapids. “This project builds upon the strengths of our community and our region, supports producers, and creates additional economic activity locally. We are proud that Kaylor AgriServices has selected Dell Rapids as the preferred location for this important expansion, and we look forward to working with them as the project moves forward.”
The project also represents the type of regional business attraction and expansion effort supported by the Sioux Metro Growth Alliance, which works with communities throughout the greater Sioux Falls region to identify development opportunities, respond to business prospects, and connect companies with available sites, infrastructure, workforce and economic development resources.
“This is a tremendous agricultural and economic development opportunity for Dell Rapids and the broader Sioux Metro region,” said Tyler Tordsen, President & CEO of the Sioux Metro Growth Alliance. “Kaylor AgriServices is making an investment that connects several of our region’s greatest strengths — agriculture, value-added processing and a strong network of producers. We were pleased to work alongside Kaylor AgriServices and the Dell Rapids Economic Development Corporation through the site-selection process, and we are excited to help welcome their future growth to Dell Rapids.”
With sitework, construction and other capital expenses, this $8-10M project will bring close to 10 new jobs at start and further strengthens Dell Rapids’ position as a location for agricultural and industrial investment while supporting the broader regional agricultural economy.
Kaylor AgriServices looks forward to joining the Dell Rapids community, building relationships with local and regional growers, and strengthening its partnerships with livestock producers throughout the area.
