Leadership Sioux Metro is an 8-month leadership and community development program created by Sioux Metro Growth Alliance. This personal and professional development program, in partnership with Think 3D Solutions, will equip current and emerging leaders from all across the Sioux Metro region with the skills, relationships, and applied experiences needed to guide their communities into the future.
Leadership Development
Facilitated by Think 3D using their accredited Leaders of Tomorrow curriculum with focuses on communication, culture, mindset, and influence.
Rural Leadership in Action
Led by SMGA through site visits, panels, and applied case studies showcasing how Sioux Metro communities address real-world challenges.
Participant Expectations: Participants are expected to attend the one full-day in-person sessions held on the first Thursday of each month. There are two optional 1-hour virtual sessions offered in-between each monthly session.
Participants can miss one (excused) in-person session and still successfully graduate from the program.
Tuition: Thanks to the generosity of our founding program sponsors, individual tuition has been significantly subsidized for this inaugural year. If selected, participant tuition will be $1,500.
Schedule: Anticipated Schedule for In-Person Monthly Sessions include August 6 – Sioux Falls; September 3, October 1, November 5, December 3, January 7, February 4, and March 4 – Sioux Falls (Final Session and Graduation);
Employer support: Given the necessity of in-person participation to successfully complete this program, it is expected for applicants to have the support and flexibility of their employers to be able to participate in the program.
